Thing is NJPW is fucking dead. He got a decent reaction but that's about it. There were, "You got choked out" To his credit, he leans in on it well. I think he's improved a bit, then again he was against one of the few good NJPW talents left.
Issue is kind of like Toni's push, there's nowhere to actually go with it. I mean even him going back to AEW kind of instantly kills the gimmick because the Bucks will leech off of him which makes you wonder why the fuck would he join the EVPs that made him a scapegoat. I guess he can come back as a anti-authority face, but he does not have the look for it at all. Basically you have a company trying to sell their big shows off of two guys (HH H and Punk) who aren't in the company.
