Last game I played was HCTP and a bit of Smackdown vs Raw, which was terrible. I picked up 2k23 for 10 bucks and I couldn't believe they hadn't managed to find a decent game core in 20 years. I played for 10 minutes until I got bored of it. It has no soul.
2k24 is literally the same game with the Cody showcase

I dropped money for the big ultimate super turbo edition or whatever. It’s good but it’s not jaw on the floor amazing as an entry. It feels like a tune up improvement from last year’s game. Like if you didn’t buy 2k23 this might be worth it. 40 Years of Mania showcase only has 20 Manias and is a disappointment outside of getting 01 Rock and Austin in a game again. But everything else is a welcome update but just that. An update.

Fire Pro is only good if you're an autist who likes programming AI to put on Meltzer wankfests. Even for fighting AI with the aim of putting on a good match is better in 2K24 and that's a shoot, brother.

Fire Pro is 60 dollars with all the DLC that you need to download any creations with custom parts. That is fucking criminal for a 20 year old game. And I say 20 year old because as much as you shit on 2k for being a re-skin, Fire Pro is just an overpriced Fire Pro Returns.

There's little to do. Once you've beaten the showcase, you're left with GM mode which is basically a retards version of GM mode that only appeals to npcs and a broken universe mode that os beyond repetitive and offers no replay ability

Yeah they pack these games with too much barely functional bullshit but I guess that's just the expectation.

The core gameplay is ok for how much stuff there is but not worth coming back to super often (especially since they still haven't figured out how to make the netcode work), and the CAW stuff is good but the stupid "render" images on the download screens really shit up the process of looking for stuff
