If anything it made it temporarily relevant again. Smarks won't hear it, but from 2001-2007 there was NOTHING about pro wrestling in the mainstream beyond the video games.

After the Benoit coverage, you got things like the south park episode,.and Dwayne went all in on his movie career. So at least you got some mention of wrestling. 01-07 was complete cultural irrelevance.
