Jimmy Snuka came into WWF as a high flying savage managed by Capt Lou Albano. His splashes from the top rope and agility were different from anyone they’ve seen outside of the Mil Mascaras occasional appearances.

Bob Backlund was such a bore that people cheered for Snuka the whole time during their series of matches at MSG, to the point there was some backlash when he missed the splash off the cage and lost.

They were forced to turn him and have Albano/Blassie attack him and Ray Stevens bloody him up with a piledriver on the concrete.
