That isn't how it works. When you look back at the title's lineage, you don't also see everyone who held the WCW title, or the 2002 WHC. You see people who held specifically the WWE title. The other one is retired. Once they fully and officially unify the championships i.e. stop listing them as two different titles, when you look at the WWE title's lineage, it will list a 734 day reign for Roman, not 1300.

An "undisputed" world champion like in boxing would also have like the AEW, TNA and NWA world titles. At the very least would also have the Damian Priest belt. In kayfabe according to WWE Priest is THE World Heavyweight Champion, the label traditionally used by a promotion to clearly recognize the top guy. Imagine the NBA having a world champion team but then a different "undisputed" champion team. All people would do is DISPUTE who is the actual champs.

Yeah, calling it undisputed was fine until they brought out the fake Heayweight belt, that immediately undoes the undisputed part because it’s allegedly a World championship.

They fucked themselves by starting Roman’s run with the Universal, a belt no one has ever cared about. They don’t want to just call the belts RAW or Smackdown obviously, they care about continuity to some degree but calling a belt undisputed when there is a another World title being defended on the same program is pants on head retarded. It’s also a commentary on the viewers, most of whom are well known to be retarded. Fox confirmed that when they cancelled Smackdown. No one is really going to complain if things don’t make sense.
