also part of it is he had a great match with Gunther that made him look good
he CAN wrestle but he keeps leaning further into his geeky indy comedy moveset, he was a teenager when he signed and it was assumed he would get better but ever since NXT UK died he's been getting worse and worse imo
also he's just too short, like there are some guys who are short as fuck but still kinda make it work and then there's Bate who should have been told straight up you can't be a wrestler
