I've seen this gayness going on since the early
2000s.It's usually the right wingers who larp as stoic & traditionalist. A common pattern that you'll often see with internet right wing movements is how they completely misinterpret the damn thing that they larp as. Stoicism is supposed to be about living your life true to 'natural law' but they ain't nothing natural about a man who thinks attraction to women is gay.
I do agree with you that it may be elites gaslighting it, but if they are, they're just tapping into some gay shit that was already a movement within the wild west era internet.
