For someone who was so pivotal in ushering in the attitude era, he did become more marginalized throughout 1998, but even in ‘99 he wasn’t a jobber. He won the IC title the night after ‘Mania, though he quickly dropped it to Godfather. Which is precisely when that title started to mean less imo.
