>>14407677I just watched 18 minutes of it
It took 6 minutes of restholds for Ospreay to do something
The mat wrestling looked bad (wtf was that cross-armed choke hold Daniel tried? Looked like he tickled Will)
It was always stop and go, everytime the match got some much needed tempo and drama, it was grinded down to a crawl with yet another resthold (Daniel applied like 2 holds that looked good, mainly because of the hard looking strikes he applied with them, the rest just looked bad.)
And also Ospreays selling was poor. The first time Daniel tried to do a Surfboard, all Ospreay did (while his legs were forcibly held togather) was do a "nuh-uh-uh!" sonic finger wiggle while looking bored to the crowd. Thats not how you create drama, thats smug exposing of the business. And then later on he oversold the very first chop of a chop exchange he initiated. I never seen such a comedic sell of a chop, if anyone has a webm of that I would greatly appreciate it.
A great match needs to be able to withstand scrutiny. From what I saw, it wasnt able to.
