unironically this, in my case it was even worse because i was coming from playing 3 as my first entry and Old Snake was hugely over with me, so coming back to play 2 was a double whammy from playing other Snake and also having to play as Raiden.
2 is by far the worst in my history books

What the fuck happened to The Boss in Saints 3 & 4? He was so damn unique in Saints Row 2 because I don't think there's ever been another unapologetic evil crime boss, who is also the main character. At least not in video games. Trevor Philips doesn't count, he's just a guy with plot armor. The Boss was an intelligent, heartless & ruthless motherfucker then he fucking turned into Reddit in Saints Row the turd & 4.

Ironically the plot of 3 is a self reflection of the franchise, it had edge and grit but decided to sellout because they didn't wanted to be called a "GTA Clone", little did they know they were unironically more unique in their old style of dark comedy and ultraviolence compared to their more ironic comedy approach.
