>>14437327I never said or implied that Jeff isn't responsible for his own actions, nor that he shouldn't have been locked up because he's a danger to others and himself. You're reading into what I said.
I understand drug and alcohol addiction, though, and how it can take over someone's life and turn them into someone that they are not. The answer to that is to get clean, go to rehab, and if it doesn't stick, to end up in prison. But people don't become drug addicts over nothing. Something in his life, probably a multitude of things, broke Jeff, so he turned to drugs and alcohol. Just because I feel pity for Jeff and empathize with him does not mean I excuse his actions, nor that I think he shouldn't face the consequences for them. I was merely saying that Jeff could have been the next top superstar in the wrestling business if he didn't choose drugs over facing life's problems sober. Jeff has a level of charisma that almost no other wrestler has ever had. The 'charismatic enigma' wasn't just a gimmick. That's Jeff. I'm lamenting the fact that Jeff's boneheaded drug/alcohol abuse killed his career and robbed the wrestling industry of a true megastar. That is all.
