Honestly around the time that Kenny Omega was elevated from the mid carder spot is when I saw it all as going downhill. Not trying to put any blame on Kenny, I enjoyed him a lot as The Cleaner but that’s just about the time that I didn’t want to keep watching.

The "decline" didn't start until the Pandemic. 2019 was NJPW's biggest business year in a decade and then COVID literally BTFO their entire business and they've still yet to recover.

Add on top of that the absolutely shithousing of the Yen as a currency and NJPW's predicament is very understandable.
