Recently turned babyface facing off against his heel mentor. Tien showed how much he outgrown Tao, which forced the heel to use a weapon and get disqualified. Gave Tien more of a babyface rub he needed, but wished he'd get a clear victory over Tao. 5/10
>Goku vs Chichi
Chichi never stood a chance and Goku never took her serious. Proposal at the end was still cute. 2/10.
>Piccolo Jr. vs Kuririn
Easily the 3rd best match of the tournament and Krillin's best fight in Dragon Ball. Good action and despite it slowly being clear Krillin stood no chance, he gave it his all. 7/10.
>Hero vs Yamcha
Comedy jobber match where Yamcha once again jobs. A complete downgrade of his match last tournament and solidified him as the jobber of the division. 1/10

>Goku vs Tienshinhan
The rematch of the last tournament, second best match of the tournament, but what less can you expect from these two. This time, both guys enter as babyfaces. Goku showed Tien he grew compared to their first fight and decisively beat his former rival with a ringout.
8/10.
>Piccolo Jr. vs Hero
Alright match-up between two hated rivals. Piccolo eventually catching Kami with the Demon Wave move and wins. Extra heel heat, but overall, standard match that just serves to put Piccolo over.
6/10

>Goku vs Piccolo Jr.
The match of the PPV. The stakes were definitely higher than last year's matchup as Goku faced off against an opponent more heelish than Jackie or Tien. Great, exciting match-up, which ended with Goku performing a top rope move for the first time in his career with the Flying Headbutt. A match ahead of its time, that showed a glimpse of the future of the business.
8.75/10

I think the art peaks here honestly. I like DBZ just fine but it bugs me that a good chunk of the fans treat anything pre-Freeza as just backstory because it doesn't have 80 gorillion Super Saiyan forms or "THIS ISN'T EVEN MY FINAL FORM" villains
