>>14544980I just looked at the card for Takeover 36, the final Takeover of the black and gold era. First match was Cameron Grimes vs LA Knight, the blowoff to their extremely entertaining feud. That whole series of matches was wrestling at its best.
Then it was Raquel vs her former friend Dakota Kai. That one had some build to it. I don't remember anything spectacular but I'm sure it was fine.
Then Ilja beat Gunther in one of the greatest matches of all time. Masterpiece.
Then it was Kyle O'Reilly against Adam Cole in their two out of three falls match. This was another blowoff to a long feud, and it did its job. Wasn't as good as the last match but nothing could be.
And then it ended with Samoa Joe and Kross. I don't get the hate here for Kross. I thought he was a good champion and it was a good match. Shame it didn't go anywhere.
Overall it was an excellent show.
