Wait hold on, that can actually work
A promotion where people online can set up matches between wrestlers in that promotion's roster. Obviously there will be some rules/restrictions, but generally, the audience can just book the match a week ahead of time.
There can also be an online forum where fans can discuss what would be the best choice to make. Fans can also get the chance to set up participants in tournaments or when given the chance, who participates in a NO DQ, Cage matches, submission matches, etc.
Then again, it is the internet so this plan can also completely backfire. Unless the people running the promotion does things like "oh no, this guy is injured! Who will you choose to replace him??"
