It would have prolonged the inevitable for a while, yeah. But there's plenty of structural issues with AEW that are causing it to fall apart and this wouldn't fix any of them.

I know people say that wrestling is the least important part of wrestling, but in Punk's case that's absolutely the case. Zero athletic ability and completely unexciting to watch. Having him on TV just to talk is honestly the perfect role for him.
