>>14581503I know this is a shitpost, but while the argument that something being a commercial failure doesn't really make it bad isn't necessarily wrong, but you have to take into account the fact that there are far more commercial failures that sucked than there are commercial failures that were hidden gems, and with how much the IWC likes to shove their niche promotions down everyone's throats I wouldn't be surprised if at least over 50% of the casual audience heard of ROH or AEW or whatever contrarian thing, watched it, thought it sucked and tuned out. I know I sure did when I was just starting to get into online wrestling communities back in the early 2010s, and I'm talking mostly youtube shit, I wasn't a forum dweller. If you take all that into account, it's entirely safe to say that ROH was objectively bad, or at least mediocre.
