Rene was a teenager during his first run being hazed by guys like JBL. I was hazed during college, but it was by my peers. Getting hazed by someone 10-15 years older does seem inappropriate. I think Benoit was the final straw for him. For someone that young I can see why he would want nothing to do with the company.

Rene Dupree has the worst podcast.

He's a prime example of someone doing it just because everybody else is.

It's full of him sounding like he just rolled out of bed, he's groggy, someone tells him a bit of wrestling news, he is completely unprepared to talk about it, and usually it goes something like

>Oh....? So.... Johnny Ace did WHAT....? Oh..... So, like.... what does that mean.....?

He needs everything spelled out for him constantly and may as well be there as a prop for the other guy to lead the conversation.

He's still a cool guy, and underrated though.

I've been a huge Cafe de Rene podcast mark since the start, I even enjoy it more than Corny's, but I don't think he could mentally handle being in the WWE again, the guy's CTE is off the charts. It would have been cool if they gave La Resistance a one off at that faggot PPV in France where the fans wouldn't stop doing soccer chants recently. He also married a Japanese woman and makes 6 figures from some land lord gimmick.

i sympathise with his schedule but that doesnt excuse having such low quality in audio/video/structure of the podcast. rene said he sent him money to get a better microphone. anything organised or with any effort put in is from jonah like the shorts they've been putting out. james is lucky that rene is financially set or i think he would have got rid of him ages ago and replaced him with james romero or someone else who actually puts effort into and knows how to run a show with good graphics and prepared content. even if rene just went with jonah the podcast would gain a lot more popularity.

Christ man, they did a show on hunting down one of Ric Flairs lost robes from 30 fucking years ago that involved a one of a million chance of it showing up on ebay.

And rather than ponying up and buying the fucking thing with a blank check, they started getting jewed around by the buyer with negotiations.

And the cheap fucks had to swing a deal where they may Charles Robinson give up his own personal robe Ric gave him as part of the deal to get the one they were looking for, and brought Robinson to tears in parting with it...

While I am on camp >clean because it's wrestling I have known roidheads that were able to keep relatively good muscle just off of past roiding even years prior, if you maintain your diet and still lift relatively heavy you can hold onto a lot. You just have to accept you're not going to get BIGGER which is where the addiction comes in.
