I hate to tell you this, anon, but almost every celebrity autobiography is ghostwritten, and almost every interview is just sending pre-approved answers, or the publication sending over a script to be rubber stamped. Almost every quote in a press release is written by some intern and then okayed by the executive's assistant, or a head marketer.
Maybe JR had some interest in hawking his BBQ sauce, but no one had any involvement in these besides posing for a photoshoot.
