because for every one decent or good thing they put on the show
they surround it with 5 or 6 other instances of clownshit that make the show unwatchable in whole and nobody normal wants to sift through 1.75 hours of shit to get to something that could potentially be okay

No. As soon he gets massively over and aew gets a milly again because of heel cody the bucks will latch onto him and insert themselves into a storyline with the codester killing any momentum. This. People give WWE, rightfully, a lot of shit for not capitalizing when guys get over on their own. But Tony absolutely resents Swerve, the Acclaimed and Wardlow for getting over without his permission.
I get it, I play TEW too, and nothing pissed me off more than Petey Williams getting really over, when I autobooked a couple months.

The problem was that Cody made it where he could never be the world champion, most likely due to criticism that his dad always liked to put himself over as the booker. But he was over enough that he would've made for a great AEW World Champion. It was just such a strange idea.
