There is literally no reason to like Ospreay if you've never heard of Meltzer's ratings before. He can do exciting things in the ring but not enough to get anyone to buy a ticket to see him or go out of their way to watch a show with him on it.
AEWtists try and downplay ricochet because he's a WWE midcarder but that's the perfect place for someone for someone like him who is good at flips but nothing else. If Tony Khan was a savvy booker he'd have Ospreay in a similar role instead of trying to turn him into the new FOTC despite americans not giving two shits about him
