I pay for cable channels to watch WWE. That's the only reason. I watch some other channels sometimes since I have them, but I wouldn't miss them if I didn't have them. If WWE was exclusively on streaming, I'd drop my live TV in a heartbeat.
Right now I'm paying for Hulu + Live TV, which is only $65 on top of the ad free Disney Bundle, which I'd be paying for anyway. So it's cheaper than cable, but I'm still paying $65 a month to watch my three shows. But really it's just two because I can watch Smackdown with an antenna.
Next year I'll watch Raw on Netflix and I'll have the ability to watch NXT with an antenna, which means I'll be paying to watch Smackdown and nothing else. In a month with four weeks, that means I'll be paying $16.25 per episode.
Now I'm a superfan, so I'll continue to pay this as long as I have to, but there's hardly anything on cable TV except for news and sports, and almost every other NBC sports show is simulcast on Peacock too. I really hope that happens with Smackdown when the new TV deals take effect because I'd really like to save this money.
