These people really think just saying Top 3 Top 3 Top 3 means anything, even for a TV-14 wrestling program (with gratuitous blood/swearing) that is despised by premium advertisers like Apple, General Motors or Kellogg's. MLB will make more in 13th place than AEW will make in 3rd place because it's family friendly and 0 controversy.
WBD cannot get their money back paying AEW $200M/year - it's not a program that moves the needle for carriage fees or advertiser dollars. If Tony wants to give up PPV revenue, give up a chunk of the company, the rights to the back catalog, if he's willing to accept a back-loaded contract with multiple option years, then sure - he'll get his "6 year ONE BILLION DOLLAR" deal, where 3 of the years are option years at 180, 200 and 220 million. And 3 years from now, we'll be here once again.
