>>14654402I hardly watch Wrestling. But I frequent this board to see what has been going on. But Pro Wrestling could vanish tomorrow and I would not care.
With that said I can tell you why WWE fans are so defensive. As I myself used to be one.
WWE fans have invested so much into the product that a strike against WWE is a strike on their life choice to support it.
Let me explain. When I say WWE fans have invested into WWE its not just money. But more it is time. How many countless hours has been spent watching WWE? They never miss an episode. How many countless hours defending WWE on this board?
Now imagine after all that time and money spent into WWE that it all of sudden started to fail? The life choice to support WWE would be pretty stupid and the realization would be assertive that stressing over and watching WWE would be a waste of time and your life. "Lol at ur fuckin life"
You can imagine that the thought of this realization of such a poor life decision making its way to the fore front of the conscious of a die hard WWE fan would be a crushing blow. All the time spent on it and now its gone! Players that invest so much into MMOs feel this.
So WWE fans defend WWE not because they like WWE, trust me they don't, its not that good. They feel the need to defend it because they are really defending themselves and their shitty life choice to invest so heavily into something that they were weaned into. And its really sad. They invested to much into WWE and they can't stop because if they did then the whole investment would become a waste. So they are compelled and stuck to continue.
AEW fans are not like this. They could could go 4 months without watching and tune in randomly and be like "cool".
An ideal Wrestling Promotion for me would be 1 or 2 shows a month with killer production. I'm not into this 4 different shows a week crap. You are all faggots.
