The ZSJ matches were peak self-indulgent pseudo-grappling with no rhyme or reason and careless, lazy exchanges between holds for the sake of themselves. This is antithetical to good pro wrestling and especially good mat-based pro wrestling which is supposed to be more rooted in logic and believability.
