Expect to see his star fade a little if some of the guys currently on excursion like Leube can impress on return, like how Goto and Ishii have taken a backseat as people like Shingo, Henare and now Kidd come up.
At the end of the day as long as he keeps selling merch to salary ladies who view him as a ruggedly pretty warlord type character and continues to work strong matches in NEVER and competent matches in IWGP he will keep his current role. I personally like him, he is one of the few genuine heels (as opposed to tweeners) that can still sell shitloads of merch so he is a valuable commodity for NJPW.
