The best part was that it was a work, but the work was that they would drop all defense and just shoot /heem/ each other until one fell.

I have the entire Pride collection on DVD and this is shoot one of the worst shows in the entire history of Pride. It was so bad I almost didn't make it to the main event. This match though was a complete redemption of the show. Frye and Takayama knew that every other match on the card had shit the bed and that the crowd was going to go home angry. So they met up before the match and agreed to just murder each other in the ring to pop the crowd and send them home happy. It was something only to professional wrestlers would think of or be willing to do.

The event isn't until September 3rd. Takayama said he would update his blog with more info when he gets it. If you have an Abema account it is ezpz to just follow the link and then hit the buy button. They accept credit/debit and paypal. Pride was mostly shoot, mostly. They didn’t care really who won, more that the show was good and money kept coming in. That being said there are some fights that were confirmed works, like Mark Coleman’s first Pride fight where he was guaranteed another fight, and thus more money, if he took a dive in his first match. He would go on to win the first Pride Grand Prix and revitalize his career.

I would tell you to never forget what they took from you, but it turns out you never knew what you were missing.

Long long ago in the before times we had things called ring girls. They would choose insanely hot women who had no other job than to look pretty. They didn't have to speak, they didn't have to wrestle or fight. All they would do was walk into the ring holding signs do a lap around so the audience could see it, and then leave.

Also that isn't a sign she is holding. That is his prize check for winning.
