It's all sports entertainment. WWE is promo heavy. The Japanese promotions obviously aren't. Most smaller Japanese shows are of varying degrees of entertainment (multi-men/women tags primarily). Varying degrees of silliness at times, some good moves, but after your nth show the small ones absolutely start to blend together. Sure, less commercials than Raw or Smackdown but the actual wrestling on those shows isn't always anything to write home about.
Most people watch just the bigger shows. And yes, those are entertaining. But so are WWE's big shows and AEW's big shows.
It boils down to how you like the style of the company in question but they are all far more similar than different.
