I've always thought if I had gotten into wrestling, I'd want an impaler or some other variant of a DDT as my finisher. It doesn't make sense to me that the piledriver is considered so dangerous and match ending, while DDTs are lucky to get 2 counts these days.

The story goes that Gangrel wasn't the in the type of shape that Vince wants all his guys to look like

But he hid it with the white dress shirt gimmick and then would it fly up on moves like that and expose his gut, Vince got disgusted and disappointed

He was only ever brought in to be Edge's "lore" enemy who gets defeated

Yes. Gangrel could’ve been a great character like Kane. WWE got mad at him for smiling on his debut even though it wasn’t detrimental to his character. Gangrel’s gut also flopped out of his shirt once and Vince was mad at that. Plus his promos were terrible, needed a manager.
