I made a realization a little while ago. Kayfabe storylines don’t just exist to entertain us, they are true events that play out a grander story. There is a conflict going on around us, you can think of it as some sort of war movie story come to life, and the battles in this conflict take place in the squared circle where we just so happen to sit in awe of it all. What we think of as cheap entertainment is actually a grueling conflict between heroes and evildoers. These entities, for lack of a better term, rough it out in the ring and we call it kayfabe and use its likeness to sell t-shirts. But the truth is these are very real battles with very real consequences. Who knows what’s going on in this proposed alternate reality, it’s possible that even Triple H and Vince don’t know either. All we can hope for is that the one who comes out winning has our interests in mind
