Eventually everyone's stock falls. But that said how many other guys his age are good enough to be on national TV. Rey still has tons of value as wrestler. Very few guys are able to stay on top and retire as a top guy.

Most people under 30 aren't white. Being over with Black and Latino fans is more profitable. Especially kids. I know kids who love Rey Mysterio and they're under 10.

Rey was new at the time so he was effortlessly dimes. Now his gimmick is exactly the same as it was ten years ago and people are just bored of him and are realizing he had zero charisma outside of his “lucha libre” gimmick

He's an established legend. He still has good matches when given the chance, but he doesn't need to be dominating or headlining at this point. That said, the LWO shit really feels dragged out now, like it will never end. Hopefully he moves on to putting over some up and coming heels.
