>>14781498Jericho is doing the whole "I read your comments on the internet so I respond IRL in the show" thing to online and some actual audience criticism about him making everything about himself, getting old and taking valuable tv exposure time from younger talent.
Examples like
>Takeshita getting over with Callis, Callis sets Chris up to join Callis family/betrayal attack - the entire focus of the promos is now the relationship of Jericho and Don Callis while Takeshita, the younger talent that can actually go in the ring stands around as a henchman>Jericho latching on to younger talent like Hook and end up giving nothing for it, usually worse for wear after the involved as the matches are generally panned and botch filled>Jericho bastardizing ROH Pure championship, which I don't know the whole history of but pretty sure its mean as a work rate/style/skills belt that's been successfully kept out of the sportsendedaiment side of the biz before Jericho. So this is like half dirtsheets type of bullshit of him saying "if you want to be on AEW TV you better be working with me because I got Tony in my pocket" that's intended to be smug half-serious insider joke and a comment towards the locker room and fan base that's aimed to get heat but once again lands poorly because it's more inside baseball to a steadily declining inside baseball audience.
When you could solve some of the problems in AEW with LESS Jericho, they put more on because they think that's making heat and notoriety. But it's go-away heat and "not this again" channel switching notoriety.
