>>14783614You're not wrong about NXT being on like a 3 year streak of pretty good shows but I don't think it's a unique case in history, for example WCW from the first Nitro in 1995 to the Fingerpoke of Doom in January 1999 was consistently really good too. But I'd argue NXT's biggest issue is it never quite reaches the same heights others in history have, it's consistently good but not great which I guess is to be expected considering it's a developmental brand. Regardless, those years of WCW I mentioned have a ton of memorable stuff, NXT nowhere near.
As for ECW, I don't think so. It's easy to forget now but they really went through peaks and valleys, mostly because their shows were often set back by their top guys getting poached by WWF/WCW and them having to rebuild for a bit.
