>>14787579Joey was wrestling a show near me and I went to see it. He wrestled a 30 min banger, amazing match needless to say. After the match, there were 3 kids with Down Syndrome in the crowd and he brought them into the ring. He cut a promo that left half the crowd in tears, and ended it with "Some say it's about the money and the miles, but I say...it's about the kids and the smiles...and one more thing...each of these kids are getting a $50,000 scholarship to the college of their choice paid for by me". The crowd stood and gave him a 5 minute standing ovation and the familes of the downs syndrome children were nearly inconsolable. He spent an hour with all of the families afterward in private and listened to all of their stories. It was truly an amazing night I will never forget and that's why I will always respect Joey Janela not only as a wrestler, but as a man.
