The bucket part of the system is that you can’t earn anything more than your guarantee unless you work enough to overflow your bucket. Meaning if you were to “make” 10k a match and your guarantee was 100k per pay period. You’d have to work 11 matches in a pay period to start making extra money than what you’re guaranteed.
With that system in mind it starts to make a bit more sense why Vince hated guys getting over when he didn’t want them too, because if they started selling merch like mad they’d actually have to get paid big to wrestle.
