>>14801969I understand the logic behind making a post like this, and I don't necessarily disagree...but it's ultimately futile. Raw and Smackdown already signed megadeals for the next 5 years, Saudi shows no signs of slowing down (they're ramping up, if anything), NXT is being heavily bolstered ahead of a move to network TV.....this is the path moving forward.
There is no appetite for more Men's singles matches. There is no appetite for more Men's tag team matches. The people with the access to the information that (You) don't have have determined there's a need for more Women's content.
The idea that Cagematch and Reddit and /pw/ say Women's wrestling sucks, therefore WWE should continue to sign dozens of Women to NIL/NXT deals and give them airtime, just to stick them in catering once they hit the main roster because 4 total Women's titles is plenty, is Everclear-tier distilled retardation. They're not signing and training all of those wrestlers for millions of dollars just to cut them because they have no creative for them.
The name of the game in 2024 is content and load management, better use of the roster with a larger rotation. Expect an all-Women show sooner rather than later, starting on Peacock/Netflix and later moving to linear TV. Adding more titles will be necessary to avoid "I'm better than you.....bitch"-level writing that tends to form the base of most Women's storylines to date. Bringing in TNA/Marigold talent will also keep things fresh.
