The French scene is a absolute midcard division. Only one French Champions' League champion and not even one UEFA Cup/Europa League champion from France. The fact the country's league is seen as part of the main event division while Netherlands and Portugal (who produced more CL and EL winners) are considered midcarders is an insult to football.
For fuck's sake, France has produced as many CL championship wins as Scotland, Romania and the Yugoslavia stable - and Scotland hasn't been relevant since the territory days.
