In the past two years, WWE has signed possibly twice as much ex-AEW talent as AEW has signed ex-WWE talent. Tony has even passed on names like Dolph Ziggler, who everyone thought was a no-brainer due to his connections within AEW.
With numerous WWE contracts reportedly expiring this summer and various names simultaneously exiting AEW, will we see Tony put away the NJPW crack pipe and pick up another yummy toy fresh out of the fed? Or has Tony begun to lose the negotiating battle, apart from landing established veterans who are looking for a change in scenery? Has Tony himself become disillusioned with ex-WWE talent due to the backstage politicking of wrestlers like Miro? Is it gay even if the balls don't touch?
