Just because people can recognize a problem doesn't mean they can't be wrong about things themselves. I watch AEW. I'd consider myself a fan. It's insanely stupid how after one backstage fight there were NDA's involved, people separated etc and it was literally a fight that happened behind the scenes at a wrestling show. Fights happen all the time and Punk wanted to turn it into an angle and make $$$ but the Bucks were too ego driven to even work with him. Insane

Oh no I remember when he debuted the first show after his PPV debut he ran to that side and saw it was empty made a face and ran back to the other side. Then next show he didn't even bother running to the hard cam side. Someone pointed this out on Twitter and he has since been running to both sides. It was funny to watch

Punk was making it a safespace for Punk. And in doing so needlessly created a soft roster split which left a lot of talent off of the show that otherwise had no reason to be which only hindered what they had to offer. CM Punk used the show as a platform to try and manipulate the crowd against people he didn't like which only made everything even more awkward for everyone involved. He had no intention of creating anything even remotely positive out of it

He attempted to and I'll happily admit Punk was all about himself no question the guy has a huge ego. He started back up with the Hangman and toys comments at the end of a show which stirred shit up. No question the guy has his faults but look at those collision cards when he and FTR were the main event you can tell it was a wrestling heavy card and it was different from Dynamite

I completely get where you're coming from for sure too. Not saying it couldn't be booked better today. One of the best consistently run things they've had on there this year was Edge's open challenges for his belt and those would usually go on first. Which on one hand, sure it's a great way to get the crowd into things. But it's also Edge and a title match. It was an easy no-brainer main event compared to lucha guy #283 being booked for a one-off. The Punk and Punk's friends show wasn't a good situation but it could still stand to be better than it is too
