NXT is as near perfect a wrestling show that is currently airing. The pacing keeps it from being boring, they feature a ton of talent and have them in interesting stories, almost everyone has some kind of character without being a gimmick wrestler, the PC crowd is almost always hot, and the wrestlers themselves are overall attractive which is never a bad thing for a TV show.

Some of their best male talents just got called up to the main roster, but when they had Bron, Corbin, Ilja, Melo, and Dijak on the show, you could pretty safely count on NXT to have the best match of the week. And they still have Axiom and Nathan Frazer as the tag champions who do all the flippy stuff Dave likes, and they do it very well.

NXTs roster is obviously thinner and can't do "weekly bangers" like current RAW can, so they mostly just had Ilja kino on special shows and PLEs. Thats going to be even more the case post draft. We'll see what Battleground is like.

Yeah Trick is great and the show is still really enjoyable, but it's definitely true that they took a big hit this year with the call-ups. On the bright side Raw is better than it's been in ages, but NXT isn't as strong as it was before Wrestlemania. Still, I'm glad that people are realizing they're wrong to sleep on NXT.

Age is probably helping, a lot of the talent are in Shawn's ear with current trends but I think the main thing is just good booking and characters. There is a reason to get invested in the wrestlers, there are stories. The D'Angelo/Dempsey feud has been going on for like two months and has had such a natural progression that works very well.

That may be your MOTY but it's not mine because I didn't watch it. I would watch AEW PPVs, or at least fast forward through them to certain matches if they were included in my Max subscription, but I'm not going to pay $50 to watch one show one time when I don't even enjoy their weekly shows. They're both very talented though so I'm sure it was good.

It's cause NXT appeals to coloreds. It's a bad strategy because they don't have nearly as much money as whites and most of the coloreds aren't gonna watch the main roster. Better than appealing to trannies though
