Jado and Gedo at the peak of their outlaw shittery in the 90s were working the AJPW front office between shows. Baba loved weird shit and going in different directions just as much as Inoki. The big difference between Inoki and Baba was Inoki was more than willing to work with other Japanese promotions if he thought he could spin the situation and end up burying them. Baba preferred his "walled garden" approach wherein he wanted to be seen as the only "real promotion" in Japan so pretty much no sold the existence of other promotions unless he could poach some of their more popular workers.
