I find myself more or less not being able to stand modern wrestling and I'm someone who grew up with 2000s and 2010s wrestling so it's not like I was born into headlocks and bear hugs. I hate the hokey highly athletic lucha spots, I hate the yummy callback to Chink's Road/Suhtrongu Stylru bullshit, I hate the emphasis on "good matches" aka lots of athletic high spots and forced false finishes, I'm genuinely sick and tired of the manlets, I hate awful womeme's wrestlers being shoved down my throat purely for the sake of m'diversity and most of all I hate the fact that a 1980s territories jobber could cut a better promo than most of the "stars" today. Clearly some people enjoy this, but is this really the direction it's all gonna go to now or is this just a transitional period? The current newfags in wrestling seem to be even more clueless than the fags who came up in the 2000s indies.
