GCW Bloodsport is cool. Not every match is good but as a "sub brand" it's a good gimmick and I think works better when it embraces the freak show.
NXT Underground is just their version of Bloodsport, they've been keeping an eye on it for awhile, I like the aesthetic presentation of it.
Joe vs Angle at TNA Lockdown was good and I wish they successfully built off of it.
I was never that big on the Lions Den. I didn't like the presentation and Attitude Era crowds were too impatient.
The Japanese stuff worked best with UWFi. It had English broadcasters plus crossovers with American stars like Vader, Backlund and Bad News Brown,
"Worked MMA" works best when it's a freakshow style clash, like a real life capcom fighting game. I want to see big colorful characters with different fighting styles crashing into each other.
UFC/Gracie BJJ has monopolized the art of MMA. The 90s had so much SOVL. Now it's all
mental nutcases with the shittiest tattoos all hugging the ground because they've gamed the skill of grappling.
I want kickboxers vs shaolin monks vs street fighters vs bar room tough guys vs ninjas vs sumo vs an American military man vs karate champions.
I want more Mortal Kombat, JCVD Bloodsport, Street Fighter 2, WMAC Masters in my pro wrestling
