Seems most likely the leaks are coming from the camps of Gable, Natalya, etc, so they can avoid working the indies and get AEW offers well ahead of their release. WWE doesn't mind if they publicly gage their marker value because they're already doing it privately. It makes for more intriguing storylines when the IWC is getting swerved/worked by contracts and timing,
For anyone thinking AEW can't legally contact them while they're under contract, 1) you're an idiot, 2) no that's not tampering or tortious interference, 3) depending on if their existing WWE contract has a matching period, they can have a handshake deal, just can't put pen to paper
People will really see guys like Mustafa announce 15 indy shows the day he becomes a free agent but think AEW can't sign people a few weeks early. Just lol.
