I've been to multiple shows in Corpus. The arena I always lively and into the show. It just never translates well on TV. I think because it's a pretty small arena and the acoustics are fucked.

Yes it's very beautiful. The arena is located on the beachfront. All that area is nice. My friend ran into Punk jogging on the pier/boardwalk in like 2007.

Ocean Drive is beautiful. It also happens to be on the opposite side of downtown from the American Bank Center, which means that instead of well kept roads and mansions all you get is $10 parking in the grass lot a mile away from the venue, roads that are in worse condition than literal country dirt roads, homeless out the ass, and obese Mexicans. Good God will you get obese Mexicans.

It's this. It's an incredibly cheap building that they reliably fill up. I can't find the report anymore but it came up again a little after the TKO merger happened where they revealed the "city grades" for all the places they hit. IIRC, it was in the B plus tier and only behind Dallas, Houston, and San Antonio and was ahead of bigger markets like Austin and El Paso.
For what it's worth, I think Laredo is also in that same category (and in my worthless opinion is significantly worse than corpus crowds).

If they wanted to run somewhere that's likely cheap why not just do somewhere that's never had Raw like Boise or Albuquerque. Surely those places couldn't have crowds as bad as Corpus Christi.
