I feel like the retards pushing this never even watched Sting's actual peak, which was when he was babyface Surfer Sting. While he is a legend, Taker's career was consistently way fucking better after his initial mortician gimmick. Once we get around '95, it's pretty great minus a brief period around '99-'00.

anyone that was actually around for the monday night wars/attitude era knows that sting was the only wcw worker that held a fucking candle to the rock, stone cold, etc.
literally the only thing taker can claim is "aura". couldn't cut a promo for shit and all of his iconic moments (like foley jumping off the fucking cell) were a result of him working with all-timers

Sting was pretty whatever outside of the late 80s/early 90s, he didn't have enough to work with in WCW.
Taker consistently put on great matches with a wider array of opponents than Sting ever did. He had the Batista matches, Foley matches, Angle matches, Rock matches, never really had chemistry with Austin in the ring but he's worth noting just because of how over their feuds got.

again hard carried by working with generational talents. won't speak on batista, maybe that's one where it was taker doing all the lifting. i honestly get why people like him, but the dude couldn't talk and any attempt at doing anything other than his spooky gimmick was gigacringe. anyone that would remember takers spooky shit that was over would also remember sting coming down from the rafters, etc and he didn't have the benefit of the same feuds. at WORST it's a wash.

Im a huge Stinger and I have beeb since 1990, but even I can admit this is true. Taker had all time classics with dozens of guys and his matches with Michaels at WM are still touted as some of the best matches to ever happen inside a ring. Taker may have fallen off in his later years a bit, and maybe he should have retired sooner, but that doesn't take away from his already stellar career. And if we look at Sting, his biggest match are against Flair and the botched ending to Starcade, the latter of which is not remembered fondly. Objectively, I gotta give it to taker. Although, Joker Sting is still my favorite gimmick of all time.

Even Meltz didn’t think Sting had a hall of fame worthy career. He was propped up by being “the one who never went to the Fed.” Then he did, stunk up the joint and is now hard carried by AEW fans the biggest legend ever despite him never putting anyone in that company over.

There isn’t a single wrestler alive that, if given the choice to work Prime Taker or Prime Sting would choose the Stinger. Not one.
