I think if your team aggressively signs top tier talent and that talent preforms well for your team, you may grumble a bit but you'll accept the expenses that come with it. It's teams that never do anything to try and win, cry poor, and still jack the prices up that really piss people off.

In wrestling, people used to cheer for the good guys, not federations. Building one's identity around a rasslin company is modern day markdom. MLB teams have games against each other. If there were AEW vs WWE wrestler battles on TV, the cult like federation rooting would make more sense.

Not the same. Most companies provide a service that is always improving, WWE's quality is always declining. They even sacrifice TV time for more adverts. This doesn't appeal to fans, unless they like adverts. WWE are price gouging fans and offering diminished quality product.
