>>14983008It's really hard to measure how many fans still follow the shows/results on social media but don't actively follow, how many pirate the shows/PPVs, how many people only watch the show a few times per year (Royal Rumble, Wrestlemania, huge debuts), etc. The Live+3 and Live+7 numbers are rarely made public, showing who watched on DVR or other ways days later. NBA, good luck watching a game 3 days later. WWE/AEW, simply avoid a few websites and don't follow wrestling on your social media, and you won't see many if any spoilers.
Average Baseball stadium seats about 43,000. Average attendance was as low as 27,000 just a few years ago. The key to making money is not just the TV deals, but also Video Games, Merchandise, Social Media, etc. WWE is in the Top 10 of YouTube channels by subscribers. You can write that off as being from X Y Z 3rd world country, but that's every YT channel. The name of the game is revenue streams, wherever and however you can tap into them.
It's better to have 2 million fans spending $50/each than have 10 million fans spending $5 each.
