Again, worker salaries are not based on necessity of labor, but scarcity. Although (most) software engineers are less necessary than sanitation workers, the pay is still more simply because being a sanitation worker requires less skill.
And here's a thought experiment for you. Say hypothetically, many essential workers went on strike and weren't as you call them, "pathetic pussies". What do you think would happen next?
