For years, the wrestlers, promotions and fans ripped backyard wrestlers. These people had the same passion yet nobody at any level was interested in helping them train, nobody was interested in putting them on their youtube channels and nobody ever sent any of them a ring.
Then some people from Africa start up a backyard fed and all the sudden, everyone wants to help. Wrestlers are taking trips there and at least two people are trying to send them rings that will be stripped for scrap metal long before they ever make it there.
It's bogus. I wish I could say it's just a wrestling thing too, but it isn't. People would rather take a 30 hour flight to the jungle then drive an hour and help out one of their own.
